Five days, true spirit of youth
Spring Fest is IIT Kharagpur’s annual social and cultural festival, and we are the Official Trip Partner for 2027
It has run since 1960 under one line, True Spirit of Youth, past editions have put on more than 130 events and drawn a footfall of over 80,000 in 2019, you get yourself to Howrah or Kharagpur station and everything after that is handled

02Pick your plan
The fest, or the fest and the sea
₹2,499 locks your seat on either plan, the rest is due by 22 December, 30 days before the fest
₹4,999 is the early-bird price on the 5-day plan for the first 30 registrations, then it is ₹7,499. Either plan is ₹2,499 to book and the balance by 22 December. Your train or flight to Howrah or Kharagpur is not in the price, but we handle train and flight support for colleges, clubs and solo travellers, tell us your city and group size

You wake up on campus and the commute is a walk, the fest is already happening outside the hostel door

Your address for four nights
You are not commuting to this fest, you are staying inside it
Classes began in the old Hijli Detention Camp building, now Shaheed Bhawan, which houses the Nehru Museum of Science and Technology. Spring Fest 2027 lands inside IIT Kharagpur’s 75th-year celebrations, which run from August 2025 to August 2027

Off campus at 8:00 in the morning on the 25th, New and Old Digha, then Tajpur for the casuarina trees and the red crabs, then a beach resort at Mandarmani for the night
The 26th is one more walk on the sand, breakfast, and the road back to Kolkata, we aim to have you at Howrah Junction around 4:30 PM, book your train home for after 7, the 26th is Republic Day and the road decides

What you’re actually getting
₹2,499 to lock your seat, confirmed once we confirm it, the balance due by 22 December, 30 days before the fest

Rail bookings open 60 days ahead, around 22 November 2026 for a 21 January arrival, book early or ask us
Days are counted back from 21 January 2027, the day of pickup. The percentages apply to the refundable portion, after non-refundable costs such as entry tickets are taken out. No show, no refund. If we cancel the departure, you get all of it back. You can pass your spot to another eligible person with our approval. These windows are Spring Fest’s own, the rest of the terms are in the cancellation policy and the terms of travel
07Getting there
Two stations, one pickup
Pick whichever suits your train. Howrah Junction is the big Kolkata terminus, Kharagpur Junction is the closest station to campus. Your trip captain meets the group on the platform and the road to IIT Kharagpur is on us
